Do you look forward to having a glass of wine after a long day at work? Then it might be time you ditch that job and make sipping wine your new gig.

Murphy-Goode Winery has advertised a unique year-long post with its Sonoma team.

If you are lucky to land this job, your first perk will be moving to bright and sunny California. You will also be living there rent-free for the duration of your stay.

Here are the words the winery actually used:

“Have you always wanted to live in breathtaking Sonoma Wine Country … with a $10,000 per month salary, and rent-free for a year? Do words like Cabernet, Rosé, and Chardonnay just roll off your tongue?”

The Job Requirements

For this job, Murphy-Goode says you should be ready to pursue your passion.

Also, in the first few months of working, the duties will be deliberately diverse. This ensures that, as a new employee, you get to figure out what aspects of winemaking interest you the most.

As part of this process, you will have to shadow Dave Ready Jr., a winemaker and the son of one of the company’s founders.

The company explained that it was willing to work with the new hire to help them define their passions and carve out their niche in the exciting wine world:

“We have a job that will instantaneously catapult you into the wine stratosphere.”

Sipping on the good stuff is not the only thing you will have to do if you land this job. Other duties will include acquiring knowledge of vineyards and wine operations.

You will also get a chance to learn about the world of e-commerce.

As part of the job, you should also be ready to establish strong working relationships around the winery functions. You should also be ready to work with teams to increase awareness and boost demand for Murphy-Goode Winery.

The business is family-owned, and it established this position back in 2009. The job was posted on social media.

Otherwise, the winery has been around since 1985. The position has been brought back this year since the country is going through a new set of challenges.

The Ideal Candidate Should Be Someone Who “Takes Life One Sip At A Time”

If you are under the age of 21, then this job is not for you. You also need authorization to work in the United States.

On top of that, you have to send a video resume explaining why you believe this dream job should be yours.

Once the company gets the applications, they will evaluate them based on applicable experience and skill set, creativity, design, and role value. You have until June 30 to send in your applications, and the job itself will begin in September.

Another important perk to landing this job is that you will also get 30 cases of wine.

If you are wine lover, I don’t think it can get better than this.
